CELEBRATING
75 YEARS OF BRIDAL

1946 – 2021

FROM HISTORIC MITCHELL STREET IN DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE TO OAK CREEK, WISCONSIN

Established in 1946 by Eva Liebermann, a young, Jewish immigrant, Eva’s Bridal Center is celebrating 75 years of unparalleled bridal services in Wisconsin.

Now located at 100 E. Oak St. in Oak Creek, Eva’s provides over 5,000 square feet of showroom and try on space. Hand picked from the runway, customers can choose from a variety of designer wedding dresses as well as bridesmaids and special occasion dresses.

Liebermann established the original location on Milwaukee’s Historic Mitchell Street, in a district formerly known as “Bridal Alley.”

According to former owner, Beth Stone – who worked as an associate from 1989 – 1999, before taking over as owner from 2000 – 2014 – people traveled across the Midwest to visit Mitchell Street because they could spend an entire afternoon shopping, with access to designers from around the world.

“Historic Mitchell Street was the quintessential location for brides to shop in Wisconsin,” said Stone. “As time went on and we outgrew the Milwaukee location, I knew Oak Creek would be a perfect place to carry Eva's legacy well into the future.”

Essentially doubling their showroom and try on space, Eva’s Bridal Center flourished at the new location, and in 2017, former owner Erin VanCronkhite purchased Evermore Bridal in Brookfield.

VanCronkhite said even with renovations, rebranding and technology improvements – Eva’s legacy has survived and thrived because the trust cemented between every bride and consultant remains unparalleled, as it was 75 years ago in Downtown Milwaukee.

“Eva’s longevity and household recognition is largely due to the uncompromised customer service and long standing family tradition,” said VanCronkhite. “Brides that choose Eva’s understand the legacy behind the name, and they understand that no matter what, their dress will be ready for them on their wedding day.”
In honor of this occasion, Eva’s Bridal Center redesigned their logo to include the anniversary recognition. They also added recognition in their showroom, on their fabric bags, and the required masks worn by staff.
